P3 VISA Processing

In its quest to assist talented and upcoming artists from India to visit and perform in USA, Tabla Niketan offers to carry out the process for obtaining the P3 VISA required by the Indian artists visiting USA.

Below is the list of documents that are required to apply for the P3 VISA :

  • Reviews about the performances in news papers / magazines. (Any cuttings in the regional language should be translated in English with attestation from Notary / registrar)
  • Reviews on published articles, books.
  • Detailed resume of the artist.
  • Recommendation letters from renowned artists, gurus & recognized institutions.
  • Photographs of performances, felicitation, while receiving awards.
  • Degree certificates in music / transcript copy
  • Any other outstanding achievements such as scholarships, awards, medals, certifications etc.
  • Copy of all the pages of the valid passport of the artist. (including any blank / unused pages)
  • Details of the most recent visit to the USA (arrival / departure dates and brief reason for visit)
  • Detailed schedule of the tour of concerts in the USA, along letters from respective organizations.
  • Standard P3 processing fees of $1000 payable to TablaNiketan (Approximate processing time is 12 to 16 weeks)
  • In case of expedite P3 processing, an additional fees of $1000 (Approximate processing time is two to four weeks)


Please Note :

  • All the processing fees must be paid up-front with money order or travellers check payable to TablaNiketan. (Processing will begin only after the money has been transferred to Tabla Niketan's account.)
  • All the paid processing fees are strictly non refundable in any case and for any cause.
  • Tabla Niketan will not be responsible for arranging the concerts. It is the sole responsibility of the individual artists to arrange the concerts and over all tour.
  • Tabla Niketan will not be responsible for any financial terms and conditions from any organizations, who are arranging the concerts for the artist. The artist will need to deal directly with the said organizations for financial terms and conditions.
  • If the P3 VISA is approved and the artist is up on USA tour, the artist needs to give one free performance for Tabla Niketan students. If not, the artist needs to pay the equivalent money of one performance to Tabla Niketan.
  • Tabla Niketan is neither responsible nor can give any guarantee for any delays in the approval process. The listed time line is just an approximation. There could be further delays in process.
  • Tabla Niketan is absolutely not responsible and also can not give any guarantee for approval of P3 from the US Government.
  • Upon P3 VISA approval, Tabla Niketan is neither responsible for any assistance to get VISA stamping appointments nor liable to pay any VISA processing fees. Individual Artists must explore for VISA stamping process including VISA stamping appointment and VISA processing fees
  • Tabla Niketan is not responsible for purchasing any travel tickets or making such travel plans (Internal or domestic)
  • Tabla Niketan will not be responsible for any medical coverage while on USA tour.
  • Tabla Niketan will not be responsible to pay any medical insurance. It is strongly advisable to get the medical insurance prior to departure to USA.
  • It is advisable to send any additional documents other than listed above. This will certainly support the application for P3 Processing.


P3 VISA application Process :

  • Once Tabla Niketan receives all the above listed documents, it needs approximately 2 weeks to prepare the application in a professional manner in order to submit it for P3 VISA processing.
  • Application is made to AGMA. (The approval time is approximately 2 to 3 weeks.)
  • Upon approval from AGMA, Tabla Niketan submits the application to INS ( In the case of standard processing, the approximate approval time is about 12 to 16 weeks. In case of expedite processing, the approval time is 2 to 4 weeks. In both the cases, the approval times could vary depending up on work load with INS)
  • Upon approval from INS, Tabla Niketan sends the P3 VISA approval notice along with all the original documents back to the artist.
  • Artists need to pay VISA processing fees to get VISA stamping appointment.
  • Upon approval, artist needs to buy his / her own travel tickets and medical insurance to enter to USA for the concert tour.
